Will there be a draw?
A close match after five no-draws by the away team
In this example, we will analyze football matches that could end in a draw. In the Offer window, we will create a simple filter for this. The filter will correspond to a match selection strategy where the match should not have a clear favorite (we will ensure this by limiting the pre-match odds) and where the away team has not drawn five times in a row.
We will create the following filter in the Offer window:
.. it is determined that the guests have not drawn in their last five away matches. Matches are examined from all competitions (i.e. in the league and in the cup) in the last 180 days (before the analyzed match) - 180 days is more than enough time to find the recent 5 away matches.
In the Filter / Conditions section, the criteria for the odds are defined:
.. so the odds for both home and away must be at least 2.00.
The Filter / Columns section only determines which columns should be displayed. We will examine the profit for draw bets, the profit for home and away bets can also be displayed for interest:
.. the Profit item is active in the "Profit X" column, because this is the tip we are interested in in this filter. For the same reason, the Odds item is active in the "X" column, i.e. the column with the odds for a draw in the match.
Applying the created filter in the Offer window in Competition mode (selected top English league) in the time range from the start of the season looks like this:
.. in the given period, a total of 28 matches met the filter conditions (visitors 5 matches without a draw + odds for both home and away at least 2.00). Of these, 10 ended in a draw, which means a great profit of 25% when betting on a draw on all 28 matches. Which is a result that certainly deserves further attention.
In Filter / Settings, saving the results of this filter to the archive is not prohibited. At the same time, in Filter / Columns, the Profit and Odds items are marked. Therefore, it is possible to open the Profit window in the Offer window using the button at the bottom right:
.. at the bottom left is the active item "same stake". This means that the same amount is bet on all bets (in our case 10).
The total profit is 70.5. A total of 280 was bet (which corresponds to a profit of 25.2%).
The next step is to explore other competitions. To do this, we can create a competition filter at the bottom of the Offer window:
.. we will use the "Top Leagues" competition filter (the list of competitions can be edited as desired).
In the Offer window, we can switch the mode to "Offer", i.e. display multiple competitions without a visible left list of competitions:
.. selection of competitions and matches from 1.7.2024 returns a profit of 3 percent when betting on a draw in all 592 matches from the selected competitions.
We will look for competitions where our filter has the highest profit. Right-clicking on the header of the match list will display a menu:
.. by choosing "Collapse all" only the competition headers will be displayed:
.. by clicking the right mouse button on the competition header, another menu will appear:
.. where it is possible to choose to sort the competitions by "Sum for Profit X". This will sort the competitions according to the profit value we monitor for the draw tip. The highest value will be displayed last:
If we expand the search for matches to include last season, i.e. set the date from to 1.7.2023, we get this result:
The Profit window then looks like this:
.. in the Profit window we can work with previous results of using filters in the Offer window. Therefore, it is possible to limit the date of matches in the Profit window independently of the current settings in the Offer window.
In the Profit window, records can be grouped by the selected column. If we move the Competition column header to the top panel, we get:
.. the competitions were sorted similarly to the Offer window.
In the Profit window, we can filter matches, for example by the value in the Competition column:
.. this way it is possible to explore bets separately on the American MLS, for example.
The purpose of this example was to illustrate the evaluation of the filter by individual competitions. The filter itself can be further refined, for example by adding a condition that the last mutual match played on the same field ended in a draw.
