Trefik 10 - a comfortable direction to the right predictions
Trefik version 10 is built on a new database technology which allows automatic data updates at the background. The new technology also guarantees the data stability. Using Trefik is much more enjoyable and comfort now.
All new Trefik orders are satisfied with Trefik 10 automatically. The users of older Trefik version are able to make upgrade directly from their older Trefik. If any problems occure with proceeding the upgrade let us know at trefik@trefik.com and we will help you with getting Trefik 10.
It is not necessary to install any other software (a database engine) in order to use Trefik 10.
Trefik 10 must be allowed to have a write access to your hard drive folder where Trefik is installed in and to its subfolders. That is why you cannot install Trefik directly into your Desktop. You must select a standard folder for Trefik installation.
If you run Trefik under Windows Vista or Windows 7 and you have active the tool "User Account Control" then you have to set the file Trefik.exe to be run as the Administrator. This setting is necessary to make right because of the right to write into the Trefik folder at your hard drive.
You can set Trefik10.exe to be run as the Administrator by right mouse click at the Trefik icon. Then choose Properties / Compatibility (or Security - it depends which version of Windows you have) and activate the option "Run as Administrator". Please activate the same option for the tool Trefik10/Trefik10_Update.exe in order Trefik can download and install its new versions from www.trefik.com.
Trefik uses the Internet Explorer libraries for the Internet access. It means it is necessary the Internet Explorer browser must be installed at the computer. This browser must be properly set to work with your Internet connection. If you use any proxy settings then please set up the Internet Explorer to work with it and Trefik will work well with is too.
In order to speed up Trefik it is recommended to set your antivirus software to ignore the Trefik folder. Some antivirus software slows down the desktop applications more than 10 times. The reason is all the local disc operations are monitored by the antivirus and it causes a big slowing down especially for the database applications. It is recommended to set up the whole Trefik folder to be ignored by your antivirus software. You can bring Trefik 10 folder into the list of your antivirus exceptions. This settings is not necessary to apply to the Internet access of Trefik.
