Participants |
Every nation has a chance to delegate eight participants to the open tournament, three juniors, three ladies and two veterans and also every nation can participate at the team competition - at least four players must be in each team.
Now names of all participants are known. For each category is stated a link on appropriate list. If you find any mistake or if anything must be changed please send us email.
Playing system is described for each category. These systems may be changed only if real number of participants will be dramatically different than number of registered players.
Following tie breaking formula will be used for all categories.
If two players are tied on equality of points in the standings, the following tie breaking criteria applies:
1. Head-to-head (mutual) games between the players concerned.
2. Goal differential.
3. Higher number of goals scored for.
4. The decision is made by "golden goal" tournament among the players with the same points.
If three or more players have the same number of points in the group,
then their ranking shall be determined by higher number of points in a
special standing composed just from the results of their head-to-head
(mutual) games. If the number of points is equal between the three or
more players in this special standing just from the results of their
head-to-head (mutual) games, than the same tie breaking criteria as
above applies to this special standing.

Players born 1965 and older can participate - two players from each country. List of registered veterans.
Veteran tournament will be held for the first time. Therefore the organizers decided to invite some table hockey legends to participate. The invitation was send to Andras Czitrom (the organizer of the first Swedish Masters), Goran Agdur and Thomas Petersson (finalists of the SM 1986 and pioneers of the modern table hockey style). They won't be considered as representatives of particular countries and therefore some countries will have more than two participants in the tournament.
This should make the World Championship and especially the veteran tournament more attractive and more prestige.
Unfortunately Andras Czitrom won't participate.
